Fair Winds is an independent assessment and counseling practice in southwest Fort Worth, Texas. Its licensed marriage and family therapists have worked with Fort Worth families for more than 20 years, evaluating autism, ADHD, learning, language and developmental concerns from 12 months through adulthood, and providing individual, couples, family and child counseling in person or by secure video anywhere in Texas.

- Insurance: accepted for initial evaluations and counseling (Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Baylor Scott & White Health Plan, Cigna, Evernorth, Magellan Health, MHN, MultiPlan, Optum, Texas Medicaid (TMHP), TRICARE, UnitedHealthcare). Comprehensive testing is self-pay.
- A full evaluation typically includes 2–6 testing sessions of about 2 hours, rating forms from home and school, about 9 hours of report writing, a comprehensive report of 20–75 pages depending on complexity, and a feedback session.
- Two testing paths: a full battery (autism, ADHD, learning, developmental) or focused diagnostic testing (e.g. anxiety, depression, personality) using one or a few measures, which is shorter and less expensive.
- ADHD testing from 24 months through adulthood; autism testing from 12 months.
- Testing cost depends on the tests the provider determines are needed after the diagnostic interview; a written estimate is provided before testing.
- Payment: cash, all major credit cards, and CareCredit financing.
- Cancellation policy: Please give us at least 2 business days’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. For a Monday appointment, that means letting us know by the same time on the Thursday before. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged a fee.
- Other services billed separately (call for fees): Court and legal services; Disability paperwork; Emotional support animal (ESA) letters; Records and reports.
